"Thank a Veteran" Candy Bar Activity

Say thank you to those who served with a personalized candy bar and a little note. This easy Veterans Day activity is great for kids and shows how a sweet gesture can go a long way.

Standard candy bars

Printer

Scissors

Tape

Markers, crayons and stickers
Directions

Download and print the wrapper. It’s double-sided, so if you can only print one side at home, print the outside.

Cut out the square wrapper.

Write a personal thank you note to a veteran and sign your name. Kids can get creative with decorations and stickers on both sides.

Fold the wrapper around the chocolate bar and secure it with tape.

Deliver your “Thank a Veteran” candy bar to a veteran family member, neighbor or to your local VA (veterans) hospital.
