We asked the athletes what their loved ones would want them to achieve at the Winter Olympics and Paralympics. It turns out their families didn’t wish for gold, wins or even success — they just hoped for happiness. Now let’s meet some of the stars of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 and learn out how they find happiness.
SPEEDSKATING
Erin Jackson
Erin Jackson has glided from her inline skating roots in Ocala, Florida, to a world-class career on ice in long track speedskating.
As the 2022 Olympic gold medalist in the women’s 500-meter speedskating event, Erin became the first Black woman ever to win Winter Olympic gold in an individual sport. Known for her explosive stride and relentless drive, this three-time Olympian is a speedskating inspiration to fans of all ages.
FIGURE SKATING
Jason Brown
As a two-time Olympian, Jason Brown’s expressive performances and elegant style have made him a favorite on the ice. Born in Highland Park, Illinois, Jason began skating at a young age and quickly captured attention for his creativity and technical precision.
At just 19, he helped Team USA earn a bronze medal in the team event at the Olympic Winter Games Sochi 2014 and went on to compete again in Beijing 2022, finishing sixth in the men’s singles.
PARA SNOWBOARDING
Brenna Huckaby
Brenna Huckaby’s journey is the very definition of courage — on and off the mountain. After losing her leg to cancer as a teen, Brenna took up para snowboarding and quickly soared.
As a two-time Paralympian and four-time Paralympic medalist (including three golds), Brenna has taken the podium for banked slalom and snowboard cross events. She is a powerhouse who continues to push boundaries and advocate for inclusion in her sport.
SPEEDSKATING
Jordan Stolz
At just 21, Jordan Stolz is one of the brightest young stars on the U.S. speedskating team. Hailing from Wisconsin, he began skating after watching Olympic heroes at the Olympic Winter Games Vancouver 2010 and quickly made a name for himself in the 500-, 1,000- and 1,500-meter races.
With his sights set on Olympic medals and new personal bests, Jordan skates with the fearlessness of a future legend.
ICE HOCKEY
Hilary Knight
Introduced to hockey at age 5, Hilary Knight is one of the most decorated players in U.S. women’s ice hockey. As a four-time Olympian, four-time Olympic medalist (including gold in 2018) and captain of Team USA, Hilary combines elite skill with fierce leadership, guiding the team with passion and experience.
Her celebrated career spans multiple world championships and unforgettable moments on the ice.
