Add a burst of sunshine and summertime to your baked goods with these gorgeous, easy fondant sunflowers! They’re quite simple to make and extra tasty — thanks to a three-ingredient marshmallow fondant recipe and a REESE’S Mini Cup center. You’ll need just a few supplies to make these happy fondant flowers, perfect for summer or early fall celebrations. Learn all the pro tips about fondant and how to use fondant in baking!
Prep your work surface with a light dusting of cornstarch or powdered sugar.
Roll out fondant dough to a 1/8-inch thickness.
Using the daisy cutter, press into the dough to make a flower shape. Make 2 daisies.
Set 1 daisy on top of the other, angling slightly so the petals stagger. Use your finger or a fondant ball to press down on the center of the flower, defining the center and securing the 2 pieces together. Then lift the edges of the petals upward to create that realistic sunflower look.
Add a small amount of edible adhesive to the center of the sunflower and place an upside-down REESE’S Mini Cup on top of it.
Repeat steps 3-5 to create as many sunflowers as you like.
