Milton Hershey always dreamed of making the world a place where happiness, creativity and sweetness could thrive. The Hersheyland you see today with your favorite brands, delicious dessert recipes and memorable celebration ideas, is the foundation of how everyone can live out Mr. Hershey’s dream to make sweet memories that last a lifetime.
From popular brands like HERSHEY’S and REESE’S, to more niche favorites like PAYDAY and MR. GOODBAR, our brands give everyone something to enjoy. No matter what your candy of choice is, none of them would be here without the hard work and determination of Mr. Hershey.
Milton Hershey founded the Hershey Chocolate Company in 1894 (that’s over 125 years ago!). The brands that Milton Hershey created, plus dozens more that we’ve welcomed to the family over the years, are a big part of what makes up Hersheyland.
Not only do you always get the best quality from our most well-known confections, but it’s also important to keep growing and evolving with the needs of everyday consumers. Like Milton Hershey once believed, these treats that bring happiness should be for everyone to afford and enjoy. In recent years, we’ve expanded our zero sugar products as well as introduced plant-based candy so that people with different diets and lifestyles can join in on the sweetness of Hershey.
Even snack fans who prefer salty over sweet can get a taste of what Hershey is all about. We’ve welcomed popular snacking brands like DOT’S HOMESTYLE PRETZELS, SKINNYPOP Popcorn and PIRATE’S BOOTY Snacks, as well as high-protein options like ONE BRANDS and FULFIL. We know that it’s important to you to have options that are better for you and ones you can share with the people you love.
Whether you're trick-or-treating, snacking on break or having an at-home movie night, Hershey and its many brands are always a part of life’s moments of goodness.
Everyone loves enjoying HERSHEY’S Candies straight out of the packaging, but these little treats can do so much more! One of the best things you can do to have some extra fun in the kitchen is to combine your favorite candies with our wide range of recipes for every occasion. Not a baker? Not to worry!
Any seasoned baker would tell you that baking is easier than it looks. Like any new skill, it takes practice and experimentation to get it right, and no one knows trial and error better than Milton Hershey. Did you know he started making confections in 1872? And it wasn’t until 1894 that he landed on chocolate. It took him years of experimentation to sell his first chocolate bar, and even after that, he continued to perfect his product.
At Hersheyland, there are hundreds of delicious dessert recipes for every baker’s skill level, so get in the kitchen, grab your candy and cocoa, and start baking! Lots of people bake as a hobby, so take your time and enjoy learning the basics. Time flies when you’re having fun, which means you’ll be making recipes with the best of them in no time.
At the heart of Hersheyland between the treats and recipes, you’ll find the joy of being together and sharing moments of happiness. And no one loved spending time with friends and family more than Milton Hershey.
Both Milton and his wife Catherine “Kitty” Hershey enjoyed entertaining and often hosted gatherings for friends and family at their High Point Mansion. From factory tours and a theme park to hotels and entertainment venues in the town of Hershey, Pennsylvania, Mr. Hershey fostered a tradition of hospitality that we find inspirational at Hersheyland.
Tradition has always been an important part of what makes life so sweet. That’s why we want to provide you with the joys of being together through fun parties, cheerful holidays and lively occasions. Need birthday party favor inspiration? How about new ways to make S'mores? Or even 10 recipes that you can make right now with HERSHEY'S KISSES? Whether it’s a holiday, a big day or just a simple day, the number of ways that you can make moments of goodness with the people you love is endless.
Milton Hershey’s legacy may have started over 125 years ago, but it will continue to live on through Hersheyland for 125 more years to come. Whether through candy, snacks, baked goods or a gathering of loved ones, we can’t wait to share even more of life’s sweetest moments with you.
